Waste Heat Recovery

Nearly every hour of every day free energy is being abandoned, costing building owners and operators thousands of dollars in wasted energy costs. Building Ventilation

Building ventilation systems are vital to occupant comfort and efficient HVAC performance.  Yet, virtually every single day they literally throw away energy.  Every building exhausts and replenishes high volumes of air to maintain proper indoor air quality.  ASHRAE recommends 20 cubic feet/hour of fresh air for each building occupant.  This exhaust ventilation air, whether winter or summer is 74 - 76°F, providing a relatively constant source of heat energy. 

ICT heat recovery systems capture heat from exhaust air so it can be reused to:

	recovery billions of BTU's of energy annually from a typical commercial office building
	pre-heat building make up air in winter saving 100's thousands of cubic meters of natural gas consumption
	pre-cool building make up air in summer reducing the load on and energy consumption of chillers for AC
	heat domestic hot water
	lower building operating and energy costs

The key to ICT heat recovery systems is the innovative Eco-Kube heat pump which boosts the temperature of the recovered energy to as high as 145°F — making the entire system significantly more efficient and higher performance than passive heat recovery technologies like heat wheels and conventional run-around loops.

Arena Ice Making

Refrigeration systems for hockey or curling rink ice making produce enormous amounts of heat while making and maintaining the ice.  Often much of this free energy is simply dissipated to the outside air. Ice making refrigeration systems from ICT using Ice-Kube heat pumps provide exceptional energy conservation and efficiency by simultaneously cooling (making ice) and heating.
