Incentive Programs
Energy Conservation Is Driving The Air Conditioning Market
Conservation and demand management are the new mantra for all levels of government responsible for providing stable, reliable energy supply. In Ontario, responsibility for strategic energy planning and management lies with the Ontario Power Authority (OPA).
OPA in partnership with other stakeholders have developed and introduced a number of incentive programs to encourage businesses to achieve two key goals:
- 1) reduce peak load energy demand and shift consumption to off-peak times, and
2) reducing overall energy consumption
Off-peak cooling solutions, using Thermal Energy Storage, deliver significant peak-load shifting as well as overall consumption savings.
